Eighteen years after the attacks on September 11, we remember and mourn those lost in the vicious and cowardly assault on our nation. We must never let the tragic events of that day be forgotten.
We also honor the heroes, including many LIUNA members, who responded to, cleaned-up, and later rebuilt the World Trade Center and constructed the Flight 93 Memorial. This year, these brave men and women, many of whom suffer from debilitating health issues from exposure to hazardous materials in the aftermath, were finally granted the support they both deserve and urgently need with the permanent extension of the 9/11 Victim's Compensation Fund.

Video Series Highlights Workers Who Responded on 9/11
Washington, D.C. (September 11, 2013) – On the anniversary of the 9/11 attacks, LIUNA has released a video series featuring seven LIUNA members who participated in the 9/11 response and are now rebuilding the World Trade Center. The videos honor those who were lost and celebrate the rebuilding of the World Trade Center.
In the videos LIUNA members reflect on 9/11 and their pride in rebuilding:
